Why is Google Pay on my phone?

If you have an Android phone, you might see the Google Pay app in your device's list of apps. Some Android phones in countries where the app is available come with Google Pay already installed.

You can disable the app at any time.

Disable Google Pay

If Google Pay came pre-installed on your device, you can't uninstall it but you can disable it.

  1. On your device, go to your device's Settings app and then Applications and then Application manager.
    • On some devices, you might need to go to your device's Settings app and then Apps and then Google Pay.
  2. Tap Google Pay.
  3. Tap Disable.
