Verify your business with video verification

To increase your daily and monthly transaction limit and unlock rewards, verify your business. This process takes less than 10 minutes. Video verification is similar to Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process.

Important: After a business profile is submitted, the Registered business name, Business category, and Business ownership type can’t be edited. To correct any of these fields:

• Delete your Google Pay for Business account.
• To correct information, create a payments profile.

For a smooth video verification experience, note the following:

• Keep your business details up to date in the app.
• You can update these fields in the app:
  • Business name
  • Business address
  • Business mobile number
  • Business category

• To fix any other incorrect details, delete your profile and create a new one.
• Make sure to choose the correct business type:
  • Individual or Sole proprietorship: This business type is where a single person owns, controls, and manages a business entirely on their own.
  • Partnership: This is a legal agreement between 2 or more individuals or entities. They co-own and operate a business, share profits, losses, responsibilities, and liabilities.
  • Private or Public limited: This business type has ownership held by a limited number of private shareholders whose shares aren’t publicly traded on a stock exchange.
  • Hindu Undivided Family (HUF): This is a traditional family business type in India under Indian law. It consists of a common ancestor's lineal descendants, their spouses, and unmarried daughters.

Video verification requirements

To fully verify your business, you need to:

• Make sure you’re at your business location.
• Bring your original PAN card. A photocopy isn't accepted.
• Have a good internet connection to talk with our agent on a video call.

How to video verify on Google Pay for Business

Set up video verification

1. Open Google Pay for Business .
2. Go to the video verification screen.
   

3. Tap Start call on Google Meet. Install the Google Meet app if you don’t have it.
   1. Tap Open and then Install.
   2. Once Google Meet is installed, tap Open.
   3. Continue with your email ID.
      
   4. You can either add your phone number or tap Not now.
      
   5. To make video calls, allow Google Meet to access your microphone and camera.
   6. Tap Give access and then Allow.
   7. On the top left, tap Menu and then Settings and then Add calling.
      • To confirm, tap Add calling.
        
4. On the Google Pay for Business app, return to the video verification screen.
5. Tap Start call on Google Meet.
   1. Share your registered mobile number and name with our agent.
   2. Show your original PAN card using your back camera.
   3. Show your store location and display board with your business name.

Tips:

• Your verification video call starts on the Google Meet app.
• Video verification support is available from 9 AM to 6 PM IST.
• You’ll get a notification about your verification status on Google Pay for Business app in 3 to 4 hours.
• Have all your documents ready. If you have missing documents, you’ll need to go through video verification again.
