Earn rewards

With Google Opinion Rewards, you'll take surveys that are run by market researchers. Survey frequency may vary, and you don't have to answer every survey you receive. In exchange, you’ll receive payments from Google Opinion Rewards via PayPal. Below, we've outlined some common questions regarding receiving and withdrawing payments via PayPal.

How much do you pay per survey?
You will receive between $0.10 and $1.00 per survey completed. The amount can vary and is dependent on the number of questions in the survey and the amount of time it takes to answer the survey. Answering questions in a certain way is not required to receive a payment and is in fact discouraged. The more honestly you answer questions, the more valuable your opinion is, and therefore, you may receive more surveys.
Why didn’t I get paid for a survey?
For some surveys, such as the initial setup questions or when determining if you're the right fit for a panel, you will not receive a payment. These surveys are used to improve our product, opt users into a panel for which they may receive surveys in the future, and measure the quality of the respondent panel. Answering surveys truthfully is the best way to ensure you'll continue receiving paid surveys.
Is there a way for me to answer additional surveys to earn additional money?
At this time the only way to answer a survey is when we notify you that there is one available to answer. When you receive notification, you’ll be allotted 24 hours to answer the survey. Please note that answering surveys honestly and with correct information is the best way to ensure you'll continually receive surveys.
How do I transfer my payments from Google Opinion Rewards to PayPal?

Each time $2.00 of payments is accrued in your Google Opinion Rewards account, Google Opinion Rewards will send a payment to your Google Opinion Rewards email address via PayPal. If your Google Opinion Rewards email address is the same one you use with PayPal, you’ll automatically receive these payments in your PayPal account.

If your Google Opinion Rewards email address is not the same one you use with PayPal, you must accept the initial payment within 30 days by associating your Google Opinion Rewards email to your PayPal account. Once you’ve accepted the initial payment and the funds are transferred to your account, future transfers will be automatic (though, you’ll continue to receive notification emails).

Users should verify that Google Opinion Rewards payments are available in their PayPal account. Please see PayPal’s site for how to manage your money, including how to spend or withdraw to your bank account.

Does my payments balance expire?

If you’re not using the same email address for Google Opinion Rewards and PayPal, you must accept at minimum one payment from Google Opinion Rewards within 30 days to receive that payment and all future payments automatically. If you do not accept that initial payment from Google Opinion Rewards within 30 days, your payment will expire.

Users should verify that Google Opinion Rewards payments are available in their PayPal account. Please see PayPal’s site for how to manage your money, including how to spend or withdraw to your bank account.

What happens if I don’t accrue enough for a threshold payout?
If you do not accrue $2.00 balance in your Google Opinion Rewards account, you will not receive any payments and the balance will expire one year from the last survey you took. If you plan to discontinue using the app, we recommend waiting until you accrue $2.00 balance and then discontinue usage after the threshold has been met.
I received an email from PayPal that Google Opinion Rewards has sent me a payment, but I don’t have a PayPal account. What do I do?

To sign up for a PayPal account, please follow these directions: https://www.paypal.com/selfhelp/article/FAQ2323

You should use the same email address as the Google Account under which you’ve signed in to Google Opinion Rewards.

My PayPal account email is different than my Google Opinion Rewards email. What should I do?

When you signup for Google Opinion Rewards, we encourage you to use the same email address as your PayPal account. However, if you’ve already setup your account, you can still receive payments. You will need to associate your Google Opinion Rewards email address to your PayPal account by following these instructions: https://www.paypal.com/selfhelp/article/FAQ1797

Note that if your primary email address for PayPal is different from your email address for Google Opinion Rewards, after you associate your Google Opinion Rewards email address to your PayPal account, you’ll receive notification emails when payments are received from Google Opinion Rewards via your PayPal primary email address.

If you experience trouble adding your Google Opinion Rewards Gmail account to your PayPal account, please call or email PayPal directly for help with resolving the issue.
I didn’t get payments for the surveys I completed. Where do I report this?
Payments may take a few days to reflect within your account. If you received a screen saying there was an issue sending the response, check to see if you installed AdBlocker, turn AdBlocker off, and restart the Google Opinion Rewards app. If you received a screen saying you earned money for completing a survey, but still haven't received a payment within 7 days, please tap on the menu button in the upper right hand corner of the app and then tap on the feedback menu item.
I’m having issues with PayPal. Can you help?

How much do you pay for a referral in the rewarded referral program?
You and your friend will both earn $0.50 (USD) for a valid referral, though this is subject to changing at any time. The reward amount may also vary for users depending on their geographic location.
What countries is the rewarded referral program available in?

The rewarded referral program is currently only available for Google Opinion Rewards users located in the United States.

How can I enroll in the rewarded referral program?

Right now, you cannot enroll in the rewarded referral program if you are on an iOS device. iOS users can sign up and be rewarded via links from their Android friends, but will not be able to send out their own referral link.

Why didn’t I get paid for a referral?

Rewards will only be issued for eligible referrals. For an invitee to be eligible for a rewarded referral, the invitee must be new to the app and located in a country for which the referral program is available. For a complete list of countries in which the referral program is available, see “What countries is the rewarded referral program available in?” section.

To discourage fraudulent behavior, there is a cap on the amount of users per week/per lifetime that you can be rewarded for referring, though this is subject to change at any time. If the referrer has reached the cap, the invitee will also not receive a reward for the referral.

In addition, similarly to how there may be delays in receiving payments for surveys, there may be a delay in receiving a reward for an eligible referral. We will send a notification when you receive a reward through the referral program. You can view your rewards history in the app’s reward history page.
