No response from Filter menu

There is a known issue in Photoshop CC 2015 that the number 6 filter does not respond when clicked. Photoshop filters are listed in the Filter menu in alphabetical order, so if the Nik Collection is the 6th position, it will not open.

For example, if these are your third party filters:

  • Filter 1
  • Filter 2
  • Filter 3
  • Filter 4
  • Filter 5
  • Nik Collection
  • Filter 7
  • Filter 8

Filters 1-5 and 7-8 will open normally. To resolve the issue, uninstall one of the plug-ins from the 1-5 positions to move the Nik Collection up the list. If all of the plug-ins are utilized and therefore cannot be uninstalled, then open the Nik Collection from the Selective Tool rather than the Filter menu. Open File > Automate > Nik Collection Selective Tool to launch the Selective Tool.

If the Nik Collection is not in the 6th position and the plug-in is simply grayed out, please see Not currently available.
