Google Now is not Available

I live in Puerto Rico. I recently upgraded from a Nexus 4 (google now working perfectly) to a Nexus 5 and Google Now is not working. I checked on Settings and the Google Now option of turning it on or off is not available. Anyone has suggestion of how I can solve this problem?

Hi Reynaldo,

Are you using a regular (free) Google account or a Google Apps account.

Hi,

Exactly the same. i live in Malta. Upgraded from g-nex - cards worked fine on it - to nexus 5 and google now cards are not available. (the turn google Now option is not visible.) Has it been disabled for some countries?  Are we going to get it back?  i use a regular account.

I think it's only available if you have the nexus 5 language set to US English only

already tried that - you need US English for 'ok Google' voice functionality... no luck with 'Google now' though :(   at least i have that though :)

I'm from Puerto Rico too and no Google Now functionality (which worked flawlessly in my Nexus 4).

Same here in Iceland. It worked with my Galaxy Nexus, but I can't seem to get it to work on my Nexus 5. It's really disappointing. I've tried everything that's been suggested. Everything is set to English US.

I have the same problem... OK Google works but no Google now(not showing card and option to turn on)
When I say OK Google now... Remind me call someone in 4 minutes bring me the option to opt-in but when I press the option it just force close the app...

Waiting for a solution... I just setup my nexus 4 and it works the problem is on the nexus 5...
