andy leung1546565nexus 5 with lollipop 5.1
HI GUYS
I noticed google rolled out lollipop 5.1 for nexus 5 users. Did anyone installed it and experienced a improvement from previous lollipop.
Did 5.1 improved the battery, ram and wifi problems at all?
I used to use 5.0.1, but then cant hold on to the problem and downgrade back to 4.4.4
If 5.1 is good enough, i may get it back to lollipop
let me know
t
thansk.

JP CSHi Andy,
That's an excellent question to ask in light of the recent Android 5.1 rollout announcement. If any users have already installed it, please post your feedback especially in regards to Andy's questions.
Thanks,
JP

acrossbyI installed it yesterday on my Nexus 5. I haven't noticed any astonishing improvements, but then I was one of the lucky ones who didn't have any of the big problems with wifi, RAM or battery. Battery seems to be a little better after overnight with no charge than usual? 54% instead of a likely 10% less, but hard to say if that's due to the update or not. (Hoping RAM does improve on my Nexus 7 (2012), though I haven't done the update there yet. 5.0.2 all but bricked it and I had to roll back to 5.0.)
One gripe: silent mode hasn't returned, no matter what people say; having to turn off all notifications using the "None" setting is not the same as leaving notifications on with the vibrations off. I want a way around the priority modes, to be able to use the volume rocker to go to silent, period.

Bigs73I actually waited for the OTA this time, a first for me as I usually flash it manually.
There are a few UI changes which I like. Seems a bit snappier... Seems to be managing memory a bit better, I have more free RAM. Other than that. ho major changes.
No more recent rogue apps lingering in the recent apps drawer.
I didn't have any issues when I was running 5.0.1 also just the rogue recent apps and higher than KK mem usage.
