Over this week I have had two Nexus players go out both with the error message stating can't load Android system your data may be corrupt. After completing the factory reset the device boots to the same screen! How can I resolve this?

Hi Kevin. As you've try resetting but without success and THIS is the only information I can find, it would be best if you contact Google Support who will be able to take a closer look at the problem with you on a 1:1 basis.

I'm sorry not to be able to help you more.

Google support seems be unhelpful they clearly seem to be unfamiliar with the issue as well as the product!!! I simply want to know if I can actually fix this issue or has my Nexus players become a brick!?!?!

Hi Kevin. That is something I can't tell you. Perhaps XDA might be able to suggest a solution if nothing in the Help Centre HERE or the forum HERE is of use. I'm sorry that Google Support were of no help to you.

This happens to my nexus player too, after update push from google..   Apparently google pretty much bricking all nexus player by pushing bad firmware update.  I can see class action lawsuit coming if google doesn't fix this soon

If you look around, XDA, Reddit - Here.  There are LOTS of people complaining about this over the past few week .
Too many to be a coincidence in my opinion.  Bad Software push?

Yes, something seems to be up, TONS of reports online over the past week. Mine died earlier today, too many people to just be coincidence. I was casting to it and it just rebooted and is stuck on the google startup animation. Stock, never unlocked or rooted, been rock solid up until now. I use it as a DVR so I figured maybe my external hard drive had crapped out and was causing a hangup since the light isn't on anymore, but same symptoms when unplugging it and trying to reboot.

My Nexus player now has same problem. Used ADB to reload previous system. Nexus Player then updated to current system. Currernt system failed again following two days use of Live Channel app with Silcondust HD Homerun cable tuner. Can you post a new new updated system that will not fail. Note on XDA thousands of views in troubleshooting forum for latest OS problem during last weeks. Google please help. Thousands of views of XDA Nexus Troubleshooting Post about issue in short time needs your assistance.

Hi Mehmet. I certainly didn't 'close the door,' I don't work for Google neither do I have any influence over that company's warranty policy. As you've already had one motherboard replacement perhaps that doesn't entitle you to another once the replacement component/'phone warranty has expired. However, I don't know if this is the case. Repairs generally have a 90-day warranty or the remainder of the original warranty whichever is the longer, however this is something you would need to check with Google as I'm not really qualified to comment.

If you are convinced that the fault lies with the software, you have the option to apply a Rescue OTA or flash a fresh factory image but if you're unable to do this then, unfortunately, there are no other available options and, of course, software is not covered by any guarantee or warranty: only the hardware is covered against manufacturing defects if the original retailer is not prepared to assist.

If you need more specialised assistance then perhaps you can find help on the xda developers' Android forum.

As I pointed out, this thread relates solely to the Nexus Player.
