Dane HardyCamera opening when I hit the power button
1 Recommended AnswerI upgraded to Marshmallow a few days ago and after made any other changes to my phone. Last night, sometimes when I would use my power button to turn off my screen (turn off, but not shut down?) my camera app would open instead. Sometimes it happened when I'd turn on my screen.
I backed up my data and did a factory reset this morning. It took over 2 hours including the time to download my apps. I still occasionally get the camera opening when I hit the power button. And now, half the time i open a few different games that have worked fine for over a year, my phone reboots and gets stuck on the "google" screen until I manually shut it down.

sevenfinchesMarshmallow has a feature where if you double tap the power button, it launches the camera. Maybe the phone is recording your button press twice?

Jason StantonSeven hit it on the head. You can turn this off in settings > display.

Penelope RHi Rohan. "This1 Guy" above is quite correct. In Nougat the option to disable double-tap for Camera has been removed from the display settings and can now be found under 'Moves.'
Thanks for taking the time to post.
