Print from your device

You can print from some apps on your Android phone or tablet. To print from your device, add a printer that can get data by Wi-Fi or mobile network.

Note: Some of these steps work only on Android 8.0 and up. Learn how to check your Android version.

Turn printing on or off for your device

  1. Open your device's Settings app Settings app.
  2. Tap Connected devices and then Printing.
  3. Tap a print service, like Cloud Print.
  4. Turn the print service on or off.

Use Google Cloud Print

To see and choose from available printers:

  1. Open your device's Settings app Settings app.
  2. Tap Connected devices and then Printing.
  3. Tap Cloud Print.

To add a printer or manage print settings, tap More More.

Add & use a new print service

To add a new print service:

  1. Open your device's Settings app Settings app.
  2. Tap Connected devices and then Printing.
  3. Tap Add service.
  4. Enter the printer information.

To use a new print service after adding it:

  1. Open your device's Settings app Settings app.
  2. Tap Connected devices and then Printing.
  3. Tap the print service, like HP.

To manage print settings, tap More More.

Print from apps

How to print depends on the app you're printing from. Often, you can tap Menu Menu or More More, and then tap Print.

Not all apps work with printing. In apps that can't print, you can take a photo of the app's screen and then print the photo. Learn how to take a screenshot.
