Find & delete downloads
On your Android phone or tablet, you can usually find your downloads in the Downloads app.
Note: Android isn't the same on all devices. These instructions are for devices running Android 7.1 and up. Learn how to check your Android version.
Find & open downloaded files
- Open your device's Downloads app . Learn where to find your apps.
- To sort by name, date, or size, tap Sort .
- To open a file, tap it.
Delete downloaded files
- Open your device's Downloads app .
- Touch and hold a file.
- Tap Delete .
Share, print, save to Drive & more
Here are a few things that you can do in the Downloads app :
To share a file:
- Touch and hold the file.
- Tap Share .
For other actions, like printing or adding to Google Drive:
- Tap a file to open it.
- In the top right corner, look for more options.
Find music, movies & other content
When you download content like music, movies, or books to use offline, you'll find that content in the app where you downloaded it. For example, learn how to find content downloaded in the Google Play Movies & TV app.
You won't usually find downloaded content like music or movies in the Downloads app.
Transfer files to a computer
When you connect your device to a computer by USB cable, use the computer's "Downloads" folder to see the files in your device's Downloads app. Learn how to move files between your computer and Android device.
