Can't sign in on your Android device
You may be asked to enter your Google Account username and password on your Android device. Here are some situations where you're prompted to provide this information:
- You've made too many pattern attempts to unlock your screen.
- You're purchasing apps or other content on Google Play.
- You're accessing Gmail, YouTube, or another Google app.
If you can't sign in after you enter your username and password, you can follow troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue. You can also choose to reset your device to factory settings and add another Google Account.
