Help Google News direct users to your apps

Many of your publications have their own native Android or iOS apps. Now you can provide us the links to your apps, and we will surface the links to Google News users in the right context. For example, your apps may appear below your Editors' Picks feed on the Google News desktop homepage and News & Weather app. To set this up, add your mobile app URL(s) in the Google News Publisher Center.

Note: Your news organization may offer several different types of apps (e.g., games, maps, recipe finders), and not all may be right for Google News. Before adding your publication's mobile app URL, please confirm that the app primarily features news content. Read more about our general news content guidelines here. Note that failure to follow these guidelines will be interpreted as an attempt to deceive or manipulate our system and may result in the removal of your apps or entire publication from Google News.

Add mobile app URLs

  1. If you haven't already, add your Editors' Picks feed in the Google News Publisher Center.
  2. Open your news source in the Google News Publisher Center. In the left-hand navigation bar, click Mobile apps.
  3. Enter the mobile app URL for one or both of your Android and iOS apps (e.g., http://play.google.com/exampleapp), and click Save.
  4. You're done! Your app URLs may take a few days to begin appearing below your Editors' Picks feed.

Edit mobile app URLs

In the left-hand navigation bar, click Mobile apps. At the top of the page, click Edit Mobile Apps. Edit your URL and click Save.

Delete mobile app URLs

In the left-hand navigation bar, click Mobile apps. At the top of the page, click Delete Mobile Apps. This will delete both app URLs.
