News Sitemap errors

The News Sitemap Details page in your Webmaster Tools account lists any errors Google found with your Sitemap, as well as warnings about potentially problematic issues.

You should address any errors as soon as possible. Once you’ve fixed an error (see instructions on how to fix each news error type below) save your sitemap and then resubmit it. It can take up to a day for Google to process the resubmitted Sitemap, so you may continue to see error messages until then.

Note: for any general sitemap issues, please consult the Webmaster Tools article on Sitemap Errors.
