Get paid for ad revenue

Publishers can get paid for an article’s ad revenue if it was natively rendered in a Google News edition. To help monetise your content, you can show ads from your edition’s own inventory.

Google also helps with your content’s monetisation by showing Google-managed ads in your articles.

Set up your payment method

You’ll automatically get paid for your share of earnings from ads shown in your natively rendered content.

Even if you don’t plan to manage your own ads in your edition, you still need to let Google know how to pay you for the earnings generated from Google-managed ads.

To set up your payment:

  1. Open the Publisher Centre.

  2. Select your publication.

  3. In the navigation menu, click Ads.

  4. Under 'Earnings', select an account from either Google AdSense or Google Ad Manager.

  5. Manage your AdSense or Google Ad Manager account:

You can always view payment statistics directly in your AdSense or Google Ad Manager account.

    • If you have an AdSense or Google Ad Manager account, select the account where you’d like your earnings to be deposited.

    • If you don’t see your AdSense or Ad Manager account, sign in to the Publisher Centre and use the Google Account associated with your AdSense or Google Ad Manager account.

    • If you don’t have an AdSense or Google Ad Manager account:

      1. Create an AdSense account.

      2. Sign in to the Publisher Centre.

      3. Select your publication.

      4. In the navigation menu, click Ads.

      5. Select the account where you’d like your earnings to be deposited.

      6. At the top-right corner of the page, click Save.

You can always view payment statistics directly in your AdSense or Google Ad Manager account.
