Manage your sections

You can manage your publication’s sections in Google News.

Reorder existing sections

  1. Open Publisher Center.
  2. Select your publication.
  3. Select Google News and then Edit.
  4. In the navigation menu, click Content settings.
  5. Navigate to the section you wish to reorder.
  6. Click Menu Menu.
  7. Drag the section where you want it.

Edit your sections

  1. Open Publisher Center.
  2. Select your publication.
  3. Select Google News and then Edit.
  4. In the navigation menu, click Content settings.
  5. Navigate to the section you want to edit, and click More More and then Edit.
  6. In the pop-up window, make your edits.
  7. To save your edits, click Apply.

Delete your sections

Important: This permanently deletes a section from your edition.

  1. Open Publisher Center.
  2. Select your publication.
  3. Select Google News and then Edit.
  4. In the navigation menu, click Content settings.
  5. Navigate to the section you want to delete, click More More and then Delete.
  6. To confirm your choice, in the pop-up window, click Delete.

Manage your articles

To see the full list of articles currently available in each section, follow these steps:

  1. Open Publisher Center.
  2. Select your publication.
  3. Select Google News and then Edit.
  4. In the navigation menu, click Content settings.
  5. In the relevant section, click Articles
  6. Under the section, a set of articles is available.

To inspect how articles render in the Google News app based on the content in the feed using News’ feed article rendering:

  1. Open Publisher Center.
  2. Select your publication.
  3. Select Google News and then Edit.
  4. In the navigation menu, click Content settings.
  5. On the relevant section, click Articles.
  6. On the right panel of the relevant article, click View.

Important: The preview shows how content from the feed renders, but this might be different in the Google News app since AMP pages are displayed by default, when available.
