Remove your publication

Important: To unpublish or delete a publication, you need "Owner" user permission.

Unpublish your publication in Google News

To unpublish a publication means it's no longer available in users’ libraries or browsable in Google News. Your publication is removed from Google News libraries within 24 hours of unpublishing.

To unpublish your publication:

  1. Open Publisher Center.
  2. Select the publication you want to unpublish on Google News.
  3. Select Google News.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Click the tab for Review & Publish.
  6. Under the “Google News publishing status” section, click Unpublish.
    • You'll get a confirmation message.
  7. To unpublish the publication, in the confirmation window, click Unpublish.

Tip: When you unpublish your publication, it remains available in Publisher Center as a draft. You can republish your edition at any time

Delete your publication

When you delete a publication, it’s removed from Publisher Center.

To delete your publication:

  1. On your computer, go to Publisher Center.
  2. Select the publication that you want to delete.
  3. At the top right, click the Publication menu and then the Publication’s settings .
  4. Under “Actions,” click Delete publication.
  5. In the pop-up window, click "Yes, I want to delete this publication."
  6. Click Delete.
