Remove your publication

Important: To unpublish or delete a publication, you need "Owner" user permission.

Unpublish your publication

To unpublish a publication means it will no longer be available in users’ libraries or remain browsable in Google News. Your publication will be removed from Google News libraries within 24 hours of unpublishing.

  1. Open the Publisher Center.

  2. Select the publication you want to remove.

  3. Click Edit.

  4. Click the Review & Publish tab.
  1. Under the “Google News publishing status” section, click Unpublish. You'll be prompted with a confirmation message.

  1. To unpublish the publication, in the confirmation window, click Unpublish.

Tip: When you unpublish your publication, it remains available in the Google News Publisher Center as a draft. You can republish your edition at any time.

Delete your publication

When you delete a publication, it’s removed from the Publisher Center and Google News app.

  1. Sign in to the Publisher Center.
  2. Select the publication that you want to delete.
  3. In the publication's summary, click More and then Delete Publication.
  4. In the dialog box, select "Yes, I want to delete this publication."
  5. Click Delete.
