Promotional placement in the Newsstand tab

The Newsstand tab is a feature within the Google News app where users can purchase and acquire content. To be considered for promotional placement within the Featured content section of the Newsstand tab, you must have an approved Producer edition with business terms in place. If you aren't signed up with Producer, sign up here.

Note: The Featured content section in Newsstand is live in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Australia, and India.

Nominate your edition for promotion

If you're signed up with Producer and would like to nominate your edition for future promotions, make sure that your content meets our feed and content guidelines. Your edition must adhere to these standards:

  • Content is up-to-date across all sections of your feed
  • All articles, images, and videos are high resolution and render properly
  • No articles or images are duplicated or missing

Dedicated sections in editions can be promoted (via RSS feed) in our merchandising campaigns. We’re happy to consider promoting your sections for major events in your applicable country (e.g. major elections, award shows, sports championships, etc.). If your edition meets the above standards, email news-promotions@google.com and include the following information:

  • Your edition's name
  • ID number
  • Country or countries for promotional consideration
  • Producer link 

If your content includes a dedicated event section, make note of it in your email.

We don’t guarantee placement. Editions are selected for inclusion based on the timing of a promotion, the quality of the edition's user experience, and relevance to promotional theme. Promotional placement is only considered for the Featured content section.
