Fix settings & report problems in Google News

Can’t open Google News

Try the steps below. After each one, check to see if the problem is fixed.

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. To see whether the problem is the site or your internet connection, check whether you can open other websites.
  3. Quit and relaunch your browser, then try to open Google News again.
  4. Clear your browsing info. Keep in mind that if you delete your cookies, you’ll also delete any saved settings.

  • If you open Google from behind a firewall, proxy, or anti-virus program, turn off the program and try opening the site again.
  • Download the latest version of your browser, like Chrome or Firefox.
