Keeping personal information private

Google doesn't require you to provide any personally identifying information when you personalize Google News.

If you create personalized settings that are stored on your computer and aren't part of your Google Account, the keywords you select for custom sections will be sent to Google when your computer loads your personalized Google News page, but won't be associated with other personally identifiable information.

If you create personalized News homepage settings using your Google Account, those settings will be stored together with the rest of your account information.
