About this column

This column indicates the value within a pricing type defined by the PriceType column.

Example:

PriceType = Tier PriceValue = 2
PriceType = WSP PriceValue = 8.50

The PriceValue has a controlled set of values that can either be a string or number.

  • When PriceType = Tier, then PriceValue can either be a string (e.g., “New Release” or “NR”) or a number (e.g., “1” or “5”).
  • When PriceType = WSP, then PriceValue can only be a number (e.g., “7” or “5.49”).
If a title has the same price for different qualities (UHD/HD/SD), the store will only display an option for the highest quality. This applies to both EST and VOD.

ex. If UHD/HD/SD for EST all have the same price, then the only option available to purchase on the storefront will be UHD.

TV Avails Season Only

  • When PriceType = Tier, and PriceValue = season-only
    • The content associated with this avail line item is only available with a season purchase.
  • When PriceType = DMRP, and PriceValue = season-only
    • The content associated with this avail line item is only available with a season purchase.

Additional Google requirements

  • Other Retailers may consider "Tier" and "Category" differently, however Google interprets both in the same way. Before providing Pricetype 'Category' for the first time in your avail please reach out to Play Support to verify if any setup is needed.

  • Avails may not successfully validate if you are providing a new Tier for the first time, as Google might need some time to setup price mapping on our backend. If you have any questions or run into errors, please reach out to your partner operations contact.
    Example:

    PriceType = Tier PriceValue = New Release
    PriceType = Tier PriceValue = NR
    PriceType = Tier PriceValue = 2
    PriceType = WSP PriceValue = 7
    PriceType = WSP PriceValue = 14.50
    PriceType = WSP PriceValue = 200

Common mistakes

  • Carefully select the PriceType – if you intend to provide a Tier with a PriceValue of 1 (typically reserved for a high value tier), but instead declare the PriceType as WSP, the PriceValue will be read as 1 unit of the currency, drastically underpricing your payout.
  • Adding currency symbol or text (e.g., $ or USD) – this should not be included in the PriceType.
