About this column
This column is for the date a title was first distributed, usually a theatrical release date formatted as "YYYY-MM-DD". If a date is not available for the territory of avail, the first theatrical release date is acceptable.
Best practices
Example:
- A title’s theatrical release date in Germany was December 25, 2013. The ReleaseHistoryOriginal value would be "2013-12-25".
- A theatrical release date for Germany is unknown, but you know that it was first released in the US on April 1st, 2014. Using the US date (2014-04-01) is acceptable.
