BR ratings

In Brazil, ratings are required for all contents with TVOD.

There are 2 rating schemes:

• Official ratings provided by the Ministry of Justice and Public Safety.
• Self-ratings.

If the Ministry has rated the title, Google requires an official Brazilian rating and assigned content descriptors.

To find if your title has received an official rating and any content descriptors, check the Brazilian Classification Database.

If the title hasn't received an official rating, you can provide a self-rating in accordance with the Ministry’s Age Practical Guide for Rating.

When self-ratings are used as a provisional measure, update Google with the official rating if the Ministry issues one.

Requirements from partners

Important:

• Rating values either Ministry-issued or self-rated are mandatory for all titles in Brazil.
• Partners must submit content descriptors if they’re issued by the ministry.

There are 6 officially issued rating values and 6 corresponding self-rating values. Partners need to provide an officially issued Brazilian rating or self-rate.
