BR Ratings - Requirements from Partners
Ratings are required for all TVOD content in Brazil (see requirements below). There are two rating schemes: official ratings provided by the Ministry of Justice and Public Safety, and self-ratings.
Google requires an official Brazilian rating and assigned content descriptors if the Ministry has rated the title. Check the Brazilian Classification Database to see if your title has been issued an official rating and any content descriptors.
If the title hasn't been officially rated, you may provide a self-rating in accordance with the Ministry’s Age Rating Practical Guide.
When self-ratings are used as a provisional measure, you must update Google with the official rating if the Ministry issues an official rating.
Requirements from Partners
There are 6 officially issued rating values and 6 corresponding self-rating values. Partners will need to supply an officially issued rating or self-rate.
- Rating values (either Ministry-issued or self-rated) are mandatory for all titles for BR.
- Content descriptors - partners must submit content descriptors if they are issued by the Ministry.

In addition to the ratings, content descriptors must also be provided when they have been issued.
The following table gives information about the accepted content descriptors. If there are no content descriptors, the XML snippet for content descriptor shall be omitted.
