Show your products on local surfaces across Google

By participating in local surfaces across Google, your in-store products can appear in unpaid product listings across Google surfaces, including Google Search, Google Images, Google Shopping, Google Maps, and Google Lens (availability of listing types for each Google surface varies by country. Learn more).

How it works

Just as we don't charge sites to be part of the Google Search index, if you’re a participating merchant, your products can appear in local product results across Google surfaces, for free. To become eligible:

  1. Follow policies to show product offers on surfaces across Google as well as policies for Local inventory ads.
  2. Submit your product feed and local product inventory feed through Google Merchant Center. Learn more.
  3. Opt-in to local surfaces across Google by selecting the corresponding program in Merchant Center. Learn more.
Note for merchants submitting feeds through Google Merchant Center: This program applies to showing your in-store product offers in unpaid product listings on Google. If you submit a feed through Google Merchant Center and do not opt into this program, Google may still use and display certain product feed data you submit (for example, titles and images) as described in the Merchant Center terms of service, including to improve Google’s services.
Also, if you’ve previously submitted a product feed to Google, you may already have products appearing in unpaid listings on surfaces across Google. Follow these instructions to manage your destinations, if you don’t want your products appearing on local surfaces across Google.

Set up local inventory on surfaces across Google

Sign up for local surfaces across Google by selecting it when you sign up for Merchant Center, or click "Growth" in the page menu on the left, then "Manage programs.: Select “local surfaces across Google” from the list of available programs.

  1. Add your business information.
  2. Link your Google My Business account and select your location groups.
  3. Upload your logo.
  4. Create, register, and submit feeds.
  5. Request inventory verification.
