Reasons why the issue is happening
We have detected you haven’t provided the About page for Austria, Germany or Switzerland or your Impressum has been rejected. To enable local inventory ads or free local listings in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, you must submit an Impressum for each applicable country.
An Impressum has specific requirements in accordance with Article 5 of the EU E-Commerce Directive and is implemented by local laws. These requirements mandate that the webpage hosting your About page must contain the following information:
- A physical address
- Contact information, such as phone number and email address
- The location where your company is registered
- Any industry-specific registration, license, or authorization
How to fix the issue
Verify that you have provided the About page for Austria, Germany or Switzerland
In your Merchant Center account, click Settings
in the left navigation menu.
Select add-ons and go to Your add-ons tab.
Go to "free local listings" or "local inventory ads" card.
Next to the country you wish to review, click Review setup status.
Scroll down to Impressum.
Ensure there is a URL next to the Impressum. If the status shows as “Rejected”, ensure that the page provided has all the necessary information.
Next steps
In some instances, if your account or a product offer is disapproved, you can request a review if you have fixed the issue or disagree with the decision. If the review is successful, your issue will disappear. If the disapproval remains and you’re uncertain with how to proceed, contact us for support.
