Remove products from your account

All products expire from your Merchant Center account 30 days after the last refresh. Products can be refreshed by re-submitting your product data source or scheduling regular data source uploads. Google will also regularly check your website and refresh your products automatically if the product data can be validated, for example, by the crawling of schema.org structured data on your product landing pages.

You can remove product data or specific products from your Merchant Center at anytime.

Note: After you remove your product from Merchant Center, it may take 24 - 48 hours for your product to be removed from ads and free listings.

Remove a product from your product data source

Follow the steps below to permanently remove a product from Merchant Center. If you do not remove the product from the data source, the next time the data source is uploaded to Merchant Center, the product will be added again.

Step 1 In your Merchant Center account, click on the Settings and tools icon Tools and setting menu icon [Gear].

Step 2 Select Data sources.

Step 3 Under the “Product sources” tab, select the product source that contains the item you want to remove.

Step 4 Open the data source and delete the product that you want to remove.

Step 5 Reupload your data source to Merchant Center.

Remove a product on a specific date

Use the expiry date [expiration_date] attribute to stop showing a product on a specific date. For example, you can use this attribute for limited stock or seasonal products. Learn more about the expiry date [expiration_date] attribute.
