Set up default commission rates in the YouTube Shopping affiliate programme

In the YouTube Shopping affiliate programme, the commission rate represents the fixed commission amount or percentage of a sale amount (excluding taxes and other fees) that is paid to a creator, and to YouTube, for the sales that they generate through their channel on behalf of your brand.

This article provides guidance on how to view your configured commission rates in Google Merchant Center.

How it works

If you're part of a supported sub-affiliate network, you'll manage all commission settings in your affiliate network's portal.

In the following two to three days after you set up the commission settings in your affiliate network's portal, you should have the settings noted on the 'Overview' page in the YouTube affiliate section in Google Merchant Center.

If you need to make any other changes to your settings, you will adjust the settings in your affiliate network's portal.

Requirements

Sub-affiliate merchants should consult with their affiliate network regarding commission rate setup and management.
