How the shipping policy table works

To get to the shipping policy table, sign in to your Merchant Center account, then select “Shipping and returns” from the left navigation menu. The shipping policy table will be visible within the “Shipping info” tab.

Go to shipping policies

View and edit your shipping setup information and metrics

In the shipping policy table, you can view and edit various aspects of the shipping information you've provided Google during set up. These include:

  • Overview of your shipping policy set up, including the name, information on whether the service was created manually or through the content API, and the last updated date of the shipping service.
  • The shipping country, delivery source and time, shipping cost, and the number of products to which the shipping policy is applicable.
    • Delivery time: Information on how you’ve set up your delivery times, whether it was manual, if you’ve added a carrier, or if you’ve linked a partner.
    • Shipping cost: Information on how you’ve set up the shipping cost, whether it was based on a dimension, multiple dimensions, flat, carrier, or free.
  • Status of your shipping policy
    • Complete
    • Error (red)
  • Visibility of your shipping policy
    • Green: Show on Google
    • Gray: Hide on Google
    • Red: Hidden on Google

Note: In case the visibility column doesn't display green, and you wish to display your shipping policy on Google, click on "Fix" to show on Google. You may also need to check your account settings and ensure that your shipping settings are properly configured.

  • If you’ve created a shipping service that uses features that are only available via content API setup, you can also view:
    • Subtables
    • Multi-shipping rate
    • Multi-carrier within a single shipping service

Note: You may not be able to edit or delete rows having an advanced Content API shipping policy because this functionality isn't supported in Merchant Center. All modifications must be completed within the Content API. If you’re encountering issues editing via the Content API, verify that your settings are correctly configured in the API.

Note: You can easily preview the shipping policy table by expanding its rows. To expand a row, click the arrow icon located to the left of the shipping policy name.

View and fix issues

This shipping policy table includes an expandable error callout within the table, offering a more specific description of the error. The error callout will be displayed alongside the shipping policy with issues, providing comprehensive error details.

How the shipping widget table works

Below the shipping policy table, you’ll find a shipping widget table where you can edit and review your ship-from locations (warehouses).

Note: Ship-from location is only available in US, DE, and FR. If you're not selling in these countries, the information here won't be used for shipping calculation. If you encounter issues with ship-from locations, ensure that your account is set up for one of the supported countries (US, DE, and FR).
