Free delivery

  • Products eligible for free delivery can automatically show up with 'Free delivery' annotations on Google.

  • You can set up free delivery rates to any delivery zone, so that customers don't pay anything for delivery at checkout.
  • You can set up free delivery to be the only delivery rate for your shop or offer free delivery when specific criteria are met. These criteria can be based on orders over a certain value or on orders over a certain weight.
  • You can also apply free delivery to specific products or cater to specific customers.

Fast delivery

  • Transit time is the time frame from when your delivery carrier collects the order from you, to when the order arrives at your customer's address.
  • You can also offer expedited delivery options (one to three working days) in addition to your flat delivery rates to provide an option for customers who want their products quickly.
  • Express delivery can be offered to specific regions or for limited products. You can simply indicate this information when setting up your delivery zones in Shopify.
  • Products eligible for fast delivery can automatically show up with annotations on Google.
  • You can add carrier-calculated delivery rates that help you to charge your customers the exact amount that a delivery carrier, such as UPS or FedEx, will charge you when you purchase a delivery label. Learn how to add carrier-calculated delivery rates.

Note: Make sure that you confirm which delivery carriers and services Google supports. If you use an unsupported delivery carrier or live in another country or region, then you need to use custom flat delivery rates. Learn more about transit time based on available delivery carrier options in each country.

Free delivery

  • Products with free and fast delivery options appear with annotations on Google Search, the Shopping tab and in their ads.
  • To enable free delivery, you can choose from options such as free delivery or free delivery over a certain amount while setting up your delivery cost.

Fast delivery

  • Showcase same-day delivery if that's a service that you offer.
  • If you're a retailer that dispatches products domestically to the US, France or Germany, you can choose to let Google calculate a delivery speed (sometimes called 'delivery time') for your customers. Refer to this article for instructions on how to set carrier-calculated transit times for a new delivery service.
  • You can also share your order history with your delivery partners to enable fast and efficient delivery. By having access to your order history, the delivery partner can optimise routes, reduce delivery times and enhance the overall delivery service.
