Manage your shipping settings

Why do I need to add my shipping information?

The delivery time and shipping costs you offer on your website are an important piece of information for customers evaluating a possible purchase. You’ll need to share with Google information about how much you charge for shipping and how long it’ll take for customers to receive their orders. This is in part because some countries and local regulations require Google to show this information to customers. In other scenarios, when your products don't have shipping information, this can result in ranking demotions. Your shipping information is used across Google features, including Shopping ads and free product listings.

Delivery time and shipping cost are 2 of the most common reasons why customers abandon their shopping purchases, so you’ll want to be sure your shipping information is accurate and up-to-date.

Does Google ship products to customers?

No, Google will only display your products and shipping information, then send customers to your website, where you fulfill orders if they decide to buy.

Why do I need to provide shipping information?

Some countries and local regulations require Google to show shipping information to customers. In other scenarios, when your products don't have shipping information, this can result in ranking demotions.

After I provide shipping information, will it be associated with all of my products?

If you've only one shipping information, it'll be associated with all the products targeting the same countries.

If a subset of your products have different shipping speeds or costs, such as heavy products and products with special promotions, specify them using the shipping label [shipping_label] attribute and create additional shipping information only for them.

A product can be associated with multiple shipping information, and a shipping information can be associated with multiple shipping labels.

What if I offer multiple shipping information for the same country?

If you provide different shipping information for a product in the same country, we'll calculate the lowest shipping rate for the product for a given situation and display that rate and the associated delivery times to customers based on where Google thinks the customer is shopping. If the shipping cost is the same, we'll use the shipping information with the fastest delivery speed.

When is shipping information required?

If you want Google to show your products to customers in any of the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czechia, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Poland, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States.
