You can change your video and audio settings so others can hear you and view your video better.

Turn your camera on or off
Important: You can't adjust the video resolution with the Meet mobile app.
- To turn your camera on or off, tap Camera

Reverse your camera on the Meet app
You can reverse the camera on your mobile device during a video meeting to show the room you’re in or your surroundings. The Meet app defaults to the selfie view.
- Open the Meet app

- Join a video meeting.
- On the top right, tap Switch camera

Turn on automatic video lighting adjustment
Important: This setting is only available on desktop, iPhone, and iPad. If you have access to Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Business, or Google AI plan, or if you are a trusted tester through Workspace Labs, use studio lighting instead.
Meet is able to detect if you are underexposed and can automatically enhance brightness to improve your visibility. If you don't want Meet to automatically adjust the light, you can turn off video lighting adjustment.
- Open the Meet app

- Join a video meeting.
- On the bottom right, tap More

Change your audio on mobile
When you’re in a Google Meet video meeting on your mobile device, you can switch between different audio devices.
- Once in a video meeting, tap your screen.
- On the top right, tap audio source

- Select the audio source:
- Wired headphones
- Phone
- Speaker
- Bluetooth
Turn on Portrait touch-up
You can lightly touch-up your appearance before you join or during a meeting. Specifically, you can select:
- Subtle: Skin smoothing, eye bag lightening, eye whitening to a lesser degree.
- Smooth: Skin smoothing, eye bag lightening, eye whitening to a more obvious degree.
Portrait touch-up is only available for certain Workspace editions.
- Open the Meet app

- Before you join or during a meeting, at the bottom of your self view, tap Effects
.
- Select a touch-up setting:
- Off
- Subtle
- Smooth
- Off
You can also adjust these settings in the Effects panel
Apply Makeup
To enhance your appearance before or during a meeting, you can use the new AI powered Makeup feature. It's designed to look realistic and adapt to everyday movements, such as sipping coffee or touching your face.
For a personalized appearance, you can combine these styles with other effects.
- Open the Meet app

- Before you join or during a meeting, at the bottom of your self-view, tap Effects
Appearance.
- Under "Makeup," select the looks you want to apply.
- To select or remove the stacked effects, at the bottom right of your self-view, tap Stack
.
- The number in the green bubble indicates the number of effects you've applied.
- Select the effects you want to remove.
- Or, to remove all effects, tap Remove all.
- To minimize the stack view, tap Close
.
- Once done, to close the "Effects" panel, at the top right corner, tap Close
.
