Use captions in a meeting

You can turn captions on to view subtitles as everyone speaks during a meeting. The captions will only be enabled for you.

Use captions in these countries or regions

You can use captions in:

• Mandarin (Traditional) (coming soon)

• Vietnamese (beta)

Tip: If you record a meeting, select “Record captions” to embed captions in the clip. 

Turn captions on or off

1. Open the Meet app .
2. Join a meeting.
3. On the bottom right, tap More .
4. Tap Turn on captions or Turn off captions .

Change the caption language

1. At the bottom, tap Menu Settings. 
2. Under “Captions,”  tap Language. 
3. Choose a language Save.

Important: The language you select becomes the default until you change it.
