Present your entire screen or a specific window in a meeting to share documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and more.
Tips
- Allow notifications when prompted. The notifications tell you when your screen is visible.
- You can also Cast to Meet from a Google Chrome browser.
Present during a meeting
- Join a video meeting.
- Select Present now in the bottom-right corner.
- Select Your entire screen or A window.
- Select Share.
If your camera is turned on, participants continue to see your video while you're presenting.
Stop presenting
- In the Meet window, click Stop Presenting.
- In the bottom-right corner, you can also click You are presenting > Stop presenting.
Present if someone else is already presenting
- In the bottom-right corner, select the presenting controls.
- Select Your entire screen or A window.
- Select Present instead.
Join only to present
If you’re attending a meeting using a Chrome device for meetings, you can present from a laptop.
When you join to present, only your computer's window or application is displayed in the meeting. No audio or other video is sent or received.
- Go to https://meet.google.com/.
- Select the scheduled meeting, or click Join Meeting and enter a meeting code.
- Click Present to meeting.
- Select a window or application.
- Select Share.
Tip: Chrome device for meetings is a device installed in a conference room so you can have a video meeting using a large screen mounted on the wall. If you are in a conference room video meeting, you can present a document or other content from your laptop.
Present to Meet from a Chrome browser
To present a Chrome browser tab or window in a Hangouts Meet video meeting, use Cast .
Tip: You can also share your entire screen or other windows using the Meet present controls.
Before the meeting
Make sure your Chrome browser is ready to cast. You can also pin the Cast icon to your Chrome toolbar for easy access.
- If you're not already running Chrome, download Chrome.
- Ensure that you're running the latest version of Chrome.
- Version 59 or higher is required.
- If you're having trouble, here's how to get Chrome updates.
- Sign in to the Chrome browser.
- At the top-right corner, click Chrome Tools
Cast.
The Cast icontemporarily appears in your toolbar. To keep it there permanently, right-click Cast
and select Always show icon. Learn more
- Verify that cloud services are enabled:
- Right-click Cast
.
- Make sure the Enable Cloud Services option is checked.
- Right-click Cast
Cast a Chrome tab to Meet
- On a computer, sign in to the Chrome browser version 58 or higher.
- Click the browser tab containing the content you want to cast.
- At the top-right corner, click Cast
.
- Alternatively, at the top-right corner, click Chrome Tools
Cast.
- Choose a scheduled meeting.
Tip: You can also enter a meeting code, such as "abc-defg-hjk".
