What are the key dates for the turn down?
Wednesday, September 8, 2021: Gallery moves into maintenance mode and maintains full functionality across all platforms including gallery.io, Android, iOS, and the Sketch plugin. Starting today the Gallery team will be resolving major bugs, but will not be further developing the product.
Friday, October 22, 2021: The Gallery Android and iOS applications will be turned down. gallery.io and the Sketch plugin will remain fully functional.
Tuesday, November 16, 2021: Gallery.io will move into “read-only” mode and the Sketch plugin will be turned down. All Gallery projects, collections, files, and comments will remain accessible. Gallery will also still support project sharing, file download, and project ownership transfer. However features such as project creation, file upload, and commenting will be disabled.
Thursday, December 16, 2021: Gallery.io will be fully turned down. Projects, collections, files, and comments will no longer be accessible. We highly recommend that all data is downloaded and transferred to an alternate source before this date.
Thursday, February 17, 2022: All Gallery data will be deleted. If you would like to export your data out of Gallery, please use Google Takeout.

All Gallery products will be turned down at different stages:

What does “read-only” mean for Gallery on November 16, 2021?
This means that certain functionality within Gallery will be disabled. Gallery project creation, file upload, commenting, and project deletion will be disabled at this time. However all projects, collections and files will still be accessible and project sharing, file download, and project ownership transfer will still be enabled.
In addition, the Sketch plugin will also be turned down when Gallery enters “read-only” mode on November 16, 2021.
What happens on December 16, 2021?
Starting December 16, 2021, Gallery.io will no longer be available and will display a landing page with turn down information. Projects, collections, files, and comments will no longer be accessible. We highly recommend that all data is downloaded and transferred to an alternate source before this date.
What happens on February 17, 2022?
On February 17, 2022, All Gallery data will be deleted. If you would like to export your data out of Gallery, please use Google Takeout before this date.

If you would like to export your data out of Gallery, please use Google Takeout. You will be able to export your Gallery data until February 17, 2022. Please reach out to gallery-support@google.com if you have any questions or concerns about your data in Gallery.
