Thanks for posting in Google  help Forums,

Select Automatic Time zone,

Disable Power saving mode,

Confirm you have a STRONG and STABLE internet connection,

3g  / 4g  / WiFi,

Open the link and confirm Google map is  updated to the latest version ,

Or,

Update Google maps,

Allow Google maps to Use Mobile Data,

Go to Settings> Apps & notifications> Apps info> Google maps>Data usage> Allow Background Data and unrestricted Data usage,

Remove Battery optimization for Google maps,

Go to Settings> Battery> battery optimization> Google maps> Remove Optimization,

Open the link and Tap on the picture at the top right in case of multiple accounts,

Select Default Account for Google maps while running in background,

Select Location Mode High accuracy mode,

Go to Settings> Security & Location> Location> Select High accuracy mode,

Open the link,

Select Web & App activity and check in the box,

Select Location history switched ON,

Confirm Device / Devices are checked for this Account for store Data,

Select Device information,

Select ON

Go to Settings> Apps & notifications> App permissions,

Allow permission for access Location, Body Sensors, Storage / X/,
