Where have my saved places gone??

Maps still will not work so I have deleted it.

But,  I have spent 12 years (pre covid) backpacking the World and recorded every place and stop on my way through Google Maps.  To my horror going on to my laptop that I have many many places now missing!!!   The most recent additions are there, as are much of the stars, but it seems that hundreds of saved places from years ago have just disappeared!!  

They were there, as I was always proud of my map so I know they were saved and stored safely within my Google account as I have changed laptops within the last 6 months and they were definitely present before.

So please Google Maps.... where are my precious saved places.  I demand them back before!  You have taken my Maps (as I refused to bow down to your pressure of buying a new phone for this reason alone), please don't take the record of my amazing achievements!  I was using them to write a book too!

Where have they gone?

And more importantly how do I get them back!!!!
