The maps used tp work just fine for a very long time. The issue only started like two weeks ago. I have updated the app but still it does not work. Can you please find a solution soon as its really hard to find my way around as all other transit apps are in Chinese.

Could you please give an example of where the transit isn't working, so I can check for myself, for example give a start and an end location.

I can't find a single set of directions that *does* work for transit. For examples:

- Park Hyatt Beijing Hotel, 2 Jianguomen Outer St, Jian Wai Da Jie, Chaoyang Qu, Beijing Shi, China to Grand Hyatt Beijing, 1 E Chang'an Ave, Dong Dan, Dongcheng Qu, China
- Wanzi, Xicheng Qu, Beijing Shi, China to Beijing West Railway Station, Fengtai Qu, China

The second one is particularly egregious since they're actually two stops on the same subway line.

But to re-iterate: I've plugged in many many different locations and haven't seen transit directions for *any of them* (if it matters, I'm currently outside China in the US).

Have you tried contacting the local Transit Authority? It's their responsibility to make sure the data is correct and up-to-date on Google Maps, and if there is a problem, they can liaise with Google through the Transit Partner Program.

I don't live in China, and I don't speak Chinese, so I'm not sure how I'd do that.

Regardless, it seems like losing all transit directions in China (I've encountered the same problem in Shanghai, for example) for at least many weeks would be fairly obviously a concern for Google Maps proper and not just something that end users should have to solve.

I live in Shanghai for 2 years now and Apple Maps works brilliantly in China for all modes of transportation. Ride hailing, public transportation, walking, biking and driving. Anyone going to China with access to Apple Maps is suggested to use this service over google maps.
