Gps not working.searching for gps during navigation

Whenever i start direction/navigate, the google map will just show me a top view of the map. Location wise it will update as i move along the route but it will not show me the turn by turn instuction.it will always say trying to search for gps. But when i open google map and tap where my location is,it is accurate and able to point where i am.but whenever i tried to use it to start direction and navigate it will just stuck at the top view but showing me the blue route that i chose.my pin point locatio will move along the blue route but no instruction or whatsoever from the app. This happens after there was a software update by android.

Im having the same issue and its driving me insane!! I actually did all those steps already and still my gps is fukd...everything was running fine until google maps came out with the new map logo version! You cant even go back to factory settings with it anymore...arrrggghhhh

Mine just started doing this a few days ago. First it was unable to locate gps, today it didn't show that but it had no idea where I was, I was about a half mile from where it thought I was.

My TMO Pixel 3 started having this problem after the last Android update, too. GPS works perfectly when setting up the directions, but then as soon as I start navigating and driving, it fails to update my position. Sometimes it says, "GPS signal lost" and sometimes not.

This fix does not work. A half hour of my time wasted and navigation still doesn't work- The last year has been crap for software updates screwing stuff up. I'm seriously considering an iPhone. I'm pissed.

This morning, April 7, 2020, Samsung pushed an update through and voila, my Android phone's GPS started working perfectly again across various apps. Better late than never, but better never late. GL.

I have the same issue and it no question was the update as it happened to 3 of my family's android phones exactly after the push. I have also factory reset as it's crazy annoying and I use it every day for work, and it did not fix it. Someone needs to come up.with a fix as its crap I'm forced to buy a new phone because of an update.
