After the street is confirmed to be on the map and can be found via the Search option in Maps, the process is:
- Enter the address you attempting to add
- If there is no address marker then Maps will attempt to predict it's location
- On the card that comes up giving the address information, scroll down to find the "Suggest an edit" option and press it
- Move the marker to the correct spot.
- Submit and this will cause a new marker to be created
- If there was actually already a marker but it was wrongly placed you will instead be editing it to move it to the correct spot, in either case to you the process will seem the same
In rare cases the system will not show you the predicted spot for your address but instead will show you an address elsewhere that is similar. In those cases:
- Move the marker to the correct spot
- Use the address that the system wants to provide for that new location, modifying just the Street Number (the individual number each house/property gets)
- Submit this information
The fact that you both moved the marker and changed the address will create a new marker rather than modifying the one you originally were given.
The last rare case is when there is no Suggest an Edit option. In those cases you should find an address that does work, any address at all, and then use the method directly above.
Please note, the system does not support unit/apartment/suite/etc. addresses; for a place with multiple units the marker with no unit number should be placed in the middle of the building or complex. People searching addresses with unit numbers will be pointed to it.
Please also note, addresses in Maps follow standard formats and use the existing streets, cities, states/provinces, postal codes, etc. to recognize the elements of an address and to locate it when searched. This is way the street must already be on the map before starting. This process cannot be used to add missing information to the map; all such information should be corrected first. The process also cannot be used to add descriptive information not in the standard address format, such as "Across from XXXXXXX".

Hi User,
No, there is no direct contact with the Maps team, only the in-product feedback mechanisms.
If you wish assistance from the participants of this forum, please start your own thread and provide there the details of your case.
Thank you

You need to report the incorrect address yourself.
Search for the address on Google Maps.
Click the Send feedback link at the bottom of the map.
Select the Wrong address option.
Drag the marker on top of the house and submit your suggestion.

Hi Jackie,
Is this the street to which you are referring?
It is non-contiguous street because of the highway.

Hi Lora,
You need to report this issue to Google.
Please, visit the location of the road at
Click the Send feedback link at the bottom of the map.
Select Wrong information.
Click the road segment that corresponds to North Kendra Way, currently incorrectly named West Santiago Circle.
A red marker should appear on the map with the incorrect name and the same information should appear on the panel to the left of the map.
Click the name on the left panel.
Do NOT check the box for "Select the entire road", you do not want to suggest a change of name for all road segments, only for the one where your house is on.
Select Road name.
Enter the correct name, North Kendra Way, without abbreviating any of the words.
Submit your suggestion.
You should receive an automatic e-mail acknowledging your submission, please, keep it in case rejects your suggestion.
If the suggestion is not accepted after 30 days or is rejected, please post back here and include a screen capture of that automatic e-mail that you should receive.
Once the change of name is approved we can move to the next step, creating the address for the house.
You may want to submit a similar suggestion for the other parallel road next to yours.
You can check the status of your suggestion in your Maps' Contributions profile at
Let me know if you have any questions about the procedure.
