How do I get speed trap notifications on my iPhone?

I can’t find anything in my app in regards to speed traps. It would be nice to get notifications and be able to report them. Running IOS 12.2.

Cant just google maps and then go through settings and enable you notifications on google maps you will also want to make sure your app is always running in your background by enabling access to your gps even when your not using the app for navigation.

Hello Ryan,

If the Speed Limits feature is available in your location then the speedometer in the app will let you know if you're driving too fast. The speed indicator will change colors if you go over the speed limit.
  1. On your Android device, open the Google Maps  app.
  2. Tap Menu   Settings  Navigation settings.
  3. Under "Driving options," turn on/off Speedometer.

Ryan, I can’t find it on mine either. I’m going to assume it’s not on the iPhone yet. Which sucks because I’m excited to use just one app and I prefer google maps over Waze

Google always try to cheat iphone customers. Its not fair. Speed trap is one of them. Android phones are lot more user friendly for Google apps than Iphone. Example - Youtube full screen option is lot easier in Android  phone than iphone. Google sucks.
