Is there any way to know when satellite and street view imagery will be updated?

I live in a rural area east of Liberty, MS, and both images have not been updated since 2014.

I know that the satellite images are usually updated every 3 years or so, but now that it's been 5 I'm starting to wonder. And even though I have seen street view from 2008 in other places, some of the street view near my house was updated in 2018.

I the past 5 years I have done some landscaping and put in a pond, so I was hoping to see newer imagery.

Hi Victor,

Google doesn't accept requests for Streetview. They do publish a basic schedule of where they are planning to be in the near future though.

You can request a Satellite Imagery update via Google Earth, which you can find here: https://earth.google.com/web/

Go to the menu (3 bars at the top left-hand side of the screen), then click on  "Feedback".

Place the Map over the area you want updated, to get the screenshot, and make sure to use the text
I would like to recommend an imagery refresh” in the feedback window.

It seems like Street View in the United States is sitting on a back burner. Still cooking but barely. Almost all of the scheduled U.S. cities are now in the past.

Yeah I wonder why Google is slacking?  It's a pretty awesome thing to be able to view updated maps of streets in cities, but that last one here was in 2014. It's 2020 now!

Our last one was in 2007, a lot has changed in 12 1/2 years.

the satellite flies frequently but not all images are suitable. many conditions are required for a picture to be good.. the image will not be uploaded if the area is covered with clouds, if it is too early or too late in the day, no rain, no snow etc. Some "failed" pictures were uploaded anyway and you can see it on the timeline on google earth (each vertical line is a snapshot, ill try to post pic's here to show you) but google earth give you best latest picture. When I open google earth its show me pic from 2017 (pic1) but on timeline i can switch to a newer one (pic2) but it is definitely better old.
this means that many more images are probably taken, but (near) perfect conditions for a large surface are needed. imagine how difficult it is to have a good sunny time in Scotland for example ;) Cheers

From my informal observation ( watching the street view car go by then waiting for updates to be posted) , it can easily take 8 or more months to process and upload new images
