Cannot enable location history

Location History  > Paused > Turn On is greyed out

location history is not available for this device

Settings on phone are all fine.

What region are you using Maps, in?

Are you using a normal Google Account (with an email address like john.doe AT gmail.com) or a Google Workspace account (with an email address like john AT acme.com)?

No, it was never resolved. I ended up switching phone from an iPhone to Google Pixel 9 and now everything works perfectly. The issue was iPhone, not the app.

It's good to hear that your problem is resolved.

Many times this issue has been resolved after restarting.

If not resolved try to calibrate your phone.
