StreetView vehicle entered private property without permission, how to request removal of photos?

Google StreetView vehicle entered clearly marked private road & property without permission, took 360 photos and published on Google Map. How do we request these streetview photos to be removed from Google Map?

Hi ES_clayton,
Is the street marked as private on Google Maps?
Typically, when the road is marked as private on Maps the Street View imagery s removed, but I am not sure it is 100% effective.
Could you please, provide the location of the private road to investigate the matter and offer additional advice?

Hello ES_clayton

Welcome to Google Maps Community Support Forum & thanks for your post.

I’m sorry to hear that Google Street View vehicle entered your private property without permission and took photos. According to Google’s support page, you can request to blur or remove photos or videos that you’ve contributed to Google Maps. However, if you want to remove photos or videos taken by Google Street View vehicle, you need to follow these steps:
  • Go to Google Maps and search for your home address.
  • Click on the image of your home or drag the little orange man at the lower right corner of the screen to your house.
  • Click on Report a Problem at the bottom right of the screen.
  • Select Privacy Concerns, then Face, License Plate, or My Home.
  • Adjust the image so that your home is inside the red box and click Submit.
Google will review your request and may contact you for more information. They will also notify you when they have updated the image. Please note that this process may take some time and it does not guarantee that Google will remove the photos or videos completely.

I hope this helps.

Regards, Ahmed.

Hello ES_clayton

If you believe that the StreetView photos violate the law or your legal rights, you can submit a legal request to Google to have them removed.

To do this, you can visit the "Report Content for Legal Reasons" page and follow the instructions provided. This process can be more complex and may require legal expertise, so it's a good idea to follow the instructions in Add, remove, or share photos or videos in Google Maps, before submitting a legal request to Google.

Regards, Ahmed.
