My address appears in the wrong location 0 Recommended Answers 10 Replies 0 Upvotes

When searching for my address is appears in the wrong location, about 200m down the road.

 This causes lots of issues with delivery drivers who go to that address and get lost.

I have reported it several times using the something wrong option on Google maps app but it has not been accepted.

What should I do next?

Hi Edward,

When did you report the address? It can take up a month or so for edits to be reviewed. Have to checked your contributions history to see if the edit has been rejected? You can do so by going to the menu, then your contributions, then the Edits tab.

It was over a month ago.

I have checked the history of my contributions and it states that it has not been applied.

Could you post a screenshot of any emails you received after submitting the edits? You can blur any personal details if you wish, I just want to check how exactly it was reported.

Trying to attach an image isn't working on mobile.

The email has a logo for Google Maps, below that two orange icons, then a grey house then the following text:

Then an image of the map with a red pin on the address I'm trying to change and finally the address I'm trying to change is written below that.

Hello,

Giving this a little bump.

The address is still showing in the wrong place. 

Two deliveries failed this week.

Two taxis in the wrong place.

I want to get this sorted.

Hi Edward,

The copied text looks like you have reported the address correctly. When did you submit the edit? Is it still pending or has it been rejected? Please check your contributions history by going to the menu, then Your contributions, then Edits.

I just reread the thread and realised that you have already provided the details. Sorry, I was checking to see if you had provided a specific date and overlooked the other information. 

Could you please provide the address and GPS coordinates for the correct location? If you do not want to post the details publicly, I can ask a Community Specialist to contact you privately.

Thanks for replying, it's much appreciated.

I'm ok with posting publicly. From a pin dropped in the centre of the block I get these coordinates:

51°27'53.4"N 2°35'51.1"W 
51.464819, -2.597517

The main address is:

Knightstone Lodge, 6-8 Archfield Road, Bristol, BS6 6BE, United Kingdom

With 12 flats numbered 1-12, so each address in full would be:

Flat 1, Knightstone Lodge, 6-8 Archfield Road, Bristol, BS6 6BE
