I understand your intention.
However, there is no straightforward way to convert a timeline into a navigation path.
Nevertheless, the timeline will show the places along the path. Save these intermediate points in a list.
Next, you can create a navigation path using these points.
Through some trials, you can minimise the number of intermediate points, aka, pit stops & optimise the route.
Alternatively, you can extract the timeline as a KML file. Import that into a "My Map". Use that My Map as an overlay in the standard Google Maps app.
However, the activity of creating the route through the intermediate points remains unchanged. The My Map will provide a visual guide only.
