How do I replicate a driving route from my Timeline?

I have a "Driving" / trip on my Timeline, a drive that normally takes five hours. Yesterday Google gave me a different route (due to a bridge closure) that SAVED me a full hour off of my drive. Said route was suggested about 10 minutes into my drive and was not (and is not) a route that Google suggested (or suggests) when I put in the destination to begin a new trip.

I'd like to either save the exact route on my Google account (PC or Android), OR go to my Timeline, go to the "driving" notification, and begin the route again.

Any and all assistance is appreciated.

Hi, Marc Guthrie 3293

Welcome to Google Maps Community Support Forum & thanks for your post.

I understand your intention.

However, there is no straightforward way to convert a timeline into a navigation path.

Nevertheless, the timeline will show the places along the path. Save these intermediate points in a list.
Next, you can create a navigation path using these points.
Through some trials, you can minimise the number of intermediate points, aka, pit stops & optimise the route.

Alternatively, you can extract the timeline as a KML file. Import that into a "My Map". Use that My Map as an overlay in the standard Google Maps app.
However, the activity of creating the route through the intermediate points remains unchanged. The My Map will provide a visual guide only.
