My navigation blue arrow does not move and is stuck in its place.

My blue navigation arrow on google maps is frozen and does not move with me as I physically move. I tried the following:

Deleting and reinstalling the app

Updating the app

Resetting location and privacy settings

Resetting network settings

Made sure location is on

Made sure background app refresh is on

Made sure point north is toggled off

Restarted the phone

Nothing works! Please help.

Have you ever tried calibrating your compass?

Here is how you can calibrate your compass,1. If your blue dot's beam is wide or pointing in the wrong direction, you’ll need to calibrate your compass.

On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app .
Make a figure 8 until your compass is calibrated. You should only have to do this a few times.
The beam should become narrow and point in the right direction.

Do share the current version of your maps app.

Same problem on Remi Note 8 Pro....This started about a week back....Before that it was fine....

Nowadays, google map is really bad. To those who are having this problem, try to uninstall the google map to have the factory version of it.

Same issues have been facing for long time. can somebody help me for the same it's not moving I am stuck at one place I have tried updating removing app doesn't work I also tried other version from different developers still got the same result I have realme 2 phone.

In my iPhone 6 google maps arrow is not moving with me. It stuck one place. It is not moving with car.

Same thing, it only works when it's connected to Android auto....go figure
