Google Maps does not save after entering a coordinate, it just says "Saving..."

Hello. I enter a coordinate into the search box and clicked the search icon. Coordinate: 44.10262,-114.58317. The coordinate is added to the map with a green bubble. I click the plus icon next to the coordinate to add it to my layer. The coordinate is added to my layer. However, it never saves, and any activity after that will not save. The word "Saving..." appears under the map title and it never goes away. Firefox 45.0, but same problem with IE 11.

If I just click the "add marker" icon and move the marker around, then it saves just fine. But the moment I enter a coordinate as described above, Google Maps will no longer save.

My workaround is not to add a marker using coordinates.

Any idea why this problem occurs? A bug maybe?

Thanks for checking.

I just tried it, saved for me.  Does it only happen to that particular map, or even that particular layer?  Can you try the same on a different layer and different map, and report back the results?

Thanks. I created a new map and tried that same coordinate. Same problem. Here is what I'm seeing:

Also, have you tried a non-Firefox browser like Chrome?  Another user is also having saving problem with FireFox.

ok, never mind my previous comment.  Now I can reproduce your problem, will open a bug to fix it.

I too am having this same "Saving Problem".   Running Win  8.1 x64;  IE 11.
Deleted Cookies etc but same problem remains.
I see it appears you are working on a fix so I will sit tight and monitor Discussion Activities for solution soon hopefully.

I am so glad to see others are having this problem, too! I use My Maps to create tropical cyclone tracks, which are made of series of markers placed using latitude/longitude coordinates. I noticed yesterday that the system will no longer save these points-- it just says "Saving...", and if you close the map, they're gone. I use Chrome generally, but I also tried it on IE and Safari on my iPad, and I was able to replicate the bug on each platform.

I have the exact same problem. I enter through coordinates of the points but are not saved. Saving... remains in loop
Thank you!
