Choose your driving avatar in the Google Maps app

You can change parts of Google Maps and choose what you find when you get directions. When you get directions, you can change the blue arrow to a car or other vehicle. You can switch back to the arrow at any time.

Choose a driving avatar

1. On your device, open the Google Maps app .
2. Start navigation. Learn how to navigate to a place.
3. Tap the blue arrow, or the vehicle if you already changed it.
4. To select your preferred driving avatar, swipe left or right.
5. To change the vehicle's colour, tap one of the colours.
6. Tap Done.
