Give a place a private label

You can add a private label to places on your map. Labelled places show up on your map, in search suggestions, in Saved Save place and in Google Photos.

To add a label, follow the steps below.

  1. Open the Google Maps app Maps.
  2. Search for an address. or drop a pin by touching and holding a place on the map.
  3. At the bottom, tap the name of the place.
  4. Tap Label.

Notes:

  • To add a label to a business, go to the place’s page and tap More 더보기 and then Add label.
  • You need Web & App Activity turned on to give a place a label.
Edit a label
  1. Open the Google Maps app Maps.
  2. Tap Saved Save place. Under 'Your lists', tap Labelled.

  3. Tap a label that you want to edit.
  4. At the bottom, tap the place name or address.
  5. Tap Edit label.
  6. Enter a new label name.
  7. Tap Finished.
Delete a label
  1. Open the Google Maps app Maps.
  2. Tap Saved Save place. Under 'Your lists', tap Labelled.

  3. Find the label that you want to delete.
  4. Beside the label that you want to delete, tap More 더보기 and then Remove label
  5. You'll see the message 'Your named place has been removed'. If you didn't want to delete the label, tap Undo.
Find a labelled place on the map
  1. Open the Google Maps app Maps.
  2. Tap Saved Save place. Under 'Your lists', tap Labelled.

  3. Tap a label that you want to see on the map.
